FEAR

I’ve always loved the idea of these super-human versions of ourselves, knives wedged in hearts, voices peeling from throats, driven into war by the power of music.

No armour. Just feeling. Every possible feeling enduring us.

FEAR is about our relationship with acute anxiety in 21st century life.

Inspired by a nineteenth century psychological thriller, it is told through a mix of high sensory live performance, movement and music by a company of actors, musicians and singers. A story for our time, it asks us to examine our relationship with our own anxiety, and the experience of being trapped by it.

Early work, research and development was supported by funding from Arts Council England, with dramaturgy by Stef O’Driscoll.
